Thanks to everyone who came to the DocTalk on 10.15.26. We had a great turnout for the topic of “So You Wanna Fund a Film” on the topic of grants and fiscal sponsorships and how they work together. A pdf of the presentation, the handout, and a comparison chart for the three forms of Fiscal Sponsorship is available HERE.
We also want to thank Marco DeAscentiis, Paige Blonsky, and Katarina Szulgit who are all officers in Roc City Singers for pitching the group on their idea for a documentary about the high school performance and show choir group shown below. The young performers spoke about their Founder and Artistic director, Judith Ranaletta, the organization’s mission, the composition of the group, upcoming performances, and some of their alumnus who have gone on to great success–on The Voice, for example–following participation in the group.
There was a lot of great give and take between the students and RocDoc members, with one of our members expressing interest in the possibility of collaborating with them on the project, so a win-win for all!
